Conzerol® for Children with Molluscum Contagiosum
Molluscum contagiosum can be especially hard on a child. Since molluscum is a viral disease, it is especially easy for children to contract it from other kids. From classroom activities to lunchtime and recess, children are constantly touching one another and sharing toys and supplies, making it incredibly easy to catch molluscum contagiosum.
Since children may not understand how the disease works, they are likely to find the lumps and bumps especially uncomfortable. While molluscum is typically painless, children often will scratch the affected area, making the bumps sore and irritated and making the child even more uncomfortable.
While waiting for the bumps to heal is one potential molluscum treatment, it’s a difficult approach for children. They are active and want to play and may not always be able to keep the bumps covered. And the typical removal methods, like freezing off the bumps or cutting them away, can be frightening and painful for a child.
Instead, doctors recommend using a topical ointment like Conzerol® to aid with molluscum contagiosum in children.
Conzerol® should be applied to the affected areas two to three times a day. For children, it’s important to keep the area covered after it dries to ensure the ointment stays on the skin and to prevent spreading the molluscum virus to others.
Conzerol® can help to clear up the lumps. Once those bumps are gone, your child is no longer contagious and he or she can return to his normal routine, including playing and sharing his toys with friends.*
Testimonials
“My daughter had molluscum contagiosum and my doctor prescribed a medication for eczema. The treatment did nothing to help my daughter, and the lesions never healed. We heard about Conzerol® from a friend and decided to try it. Within one week all of my daughter’s bumps were gone.”
“My son had hundreds of lesions all over his body. A dermatologist recommended a pill acne medication, but that seemed severe for such a young boy. I researched other options and found Conzerol®. After ordering, I applied it three times a day to my son’s bumps, and they were gone within just a few weeks”
“My teenage son had lots of bumps on his arms and his doctor kept telling is it was acne. No matter what we did, they wouldn’t go away and they seemed to spread to other areas of the body. We saw a dermatologist who told us it was actually molluscum contagiosum, a viral disease. While it was scary to hear that, it was good to finally have the right diagnosis so we could begin treatment. Within one week, there was a significant difference, with almost all the lumps gone.”
